The last sentence of the declaration reads: “ And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.” Their admirable commitments were intense and showed just how dedicated they were to achieving their goals. Such actions have changed the course of American and world history, prompting freedom seekers in 120 countries to assert their sovereignty and freedom with similar declarations.
